CHINA’S SPIRITS MARKET FILLING UP FAST

Wine-info.com reported that Diageo plans to introduce Johnnie Walker whiskey to a market leader in China. The move will likely jumpstart a competition with Pernod Ricard who owns the biggest shares of China’s import spirits market with brands including Chivas Regal and Martell. As of now, white spirits are the most popular liquor in China making up 99% of the market with only 1% foreign brands.
