RAIN, RAIN GO AWAY
California winegrowers are facing a hard turn of events as rains continue to pelt Napa Valley and cover vines with up to 4 feet of water. Although flooding is causing a mess, it is not expected to wash out the region’s grape crops according to officials since luckily the 2005 harvest came in a few weeks ago and vines are already dormant. Chris Carpenter of Cardinale winery says, “The vines are pretty resilient and they’re all shut down, so they can be completely submerged and they’ll all come back.” It seems to me that the media is blowing this a little out of proportion. Man, I hate reporters. Wait...
