CONSTELLATION GETS A BOOST FROM ACQUISITIONS IN Q-4
Constellation announced today earnings $58.2 million for the fourth quarter. The alcohol giant saw revenue increases of 1%, pushed by recent acquisitions and a jump in beer and spirits sales, which helped to make up for a slip in their wine business. Sales reached $1.05 billion, a gain of 1%, but if you eliminate sales acquired during the merger, sales actually decreased 1%. Wine sales went down 3% while beer and spirits increased 16% with imported-beer sales reaching 20%. The company expects sales to grow 6% to 8% for the full fiscal year.
