BORDEAUX MAKING A COMEBACK IN THE U.S

Despite not-so-good trends for French winemakers as of late, Bordeaux exports are doing quite nicely. Volume was up 8% in the past six months overall with a 21% and 20% jump in the U.S. and Canada.

Industry insiders attribute the increase in demand to improved quality and lower prices, along with the “retro factor” – people returning to “traditional” wines as a backlash to newer offerings.
