NEW YORK VINTNERS RECEIVE GOVERNMENT AID

Gov. George Pataki announced that New York State will donate $500,000 to wineries and vineyards to improve their websites. Matching grants of up to $2,500 will be available to individual vintners after submitting an application to the state agricultural department by Aug. 7. The funding is meant to help New York wineries better market their wines out-of-state in accordance with direct shipping laws being passed throughout the country.
