FOSTER’S EXECUTIVE MOVES TO TROUBLED COLORADO GROUP
Mel Sutton, current executive at Foster’s Group, has been appointed to serve as CEO for clothing retailer Colorado Group – whose key brands are Colorado, Jag and Diana Ferrari. The new position will take effect July 17.
''Mr Sutton has a lot of experience in similar sorts of companies and he'll bring that to bear, he's a team player and he'll give us a permanent leader,'' said Colorado chairman Bill Gibson. “We've found a very good one who will hopefully lead us back to our former glory.”
Mel’s current roles at Foster's are as Asia Pacific regional vice president (wine clubs and services) and as a sales director of Foster's Australia. He replaces acting CEO Eddie MacDonald who announced last month that he would be leaving in September.
