FREIXENET INTRODUCES SOME SPANISH FLAVOR TO THE US
Coming straight from Spain to Freixenet USA, the new brand, Tapeña, is launching its first two wines Tempranillo and Garnacha, in September. Tapeña is owned by the Ferrer family, the owners of Freixenet, Spain’s largest Cava producer and their flagship Freixenet brand, the U.S. market’s second-leading imported sparkling wine behind Bacardi’s Martini & Rossi.
Tapeña’s first two wines will retail for $10 per 750 ml bottle, and will be distributed in Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Texas and Washington.
