HARDY WINES DABBLING IN BEER

Constellation’s Hardy Wine Company has struck a deal with Western Australia’s Gage Roads Brewing Co. to distribute their beer. As you may remember, Hardy used to distribute Coopers Brewery and James Boag & Sons brands during the ‘90s, but has decided to reenter the market with Gage’s PILS and IPA.

Hardy’s Trading Manager Brian de Mamiel commented that prices for premium beers have “seen a spiraling fall” in recent years which is perhaps why the company has declined previous offers to sell other big name beer brands.

"We've found a brewer, an Australian brewer, a craft brewer, that we believe will deliver the consumer a unique craft beer that will have a premium feel about it and a premium taste,” said Brian.
