UNION SWAPS OWNERSHIP IN ILLINOIS

There’s another wholesaler consolidation to add to the list if you can believe it, as we definitely can at WSD. Glazer’s announced today they have purchased 100% of the assets of Union Beverage Company from NWS-Illinois, their current owner. Until today, Union was operated and managed by Glazer’s. That makes two acquisitions this week after Republic Beverage announced their acquisition of North Dakota’s Congress Inc. on Monday.

Glazer’s just keeps getting bigger and WSD thinks they’re in no hurry to stop. To remain big players and stay competitive with the big boys, such as Republic and Southern, consolidation is essential in the race to be number one.
