GIN COULD BE MAKING A COMEBACK

Diageo is set to roll out nationally its new lime flavor extension, Tanqueray Rangpur Gin, in early 2007, after receiving favorable results in Delaware, Maryland and Washington, D.C., in August of this year. The company is reportedly expecting a resurgence in gin, according to Marvin Shanken Trade News.

Tanqueray Rangpur gin has 41.3-percent alcohol-by-volume and is available in 50-ml., 200-ml., 375-ml., 750-ml., 1-liter and 1.75-liter bottles, with a 750-ml. bottle retailing for $21.99.
