CHILEAN EXPORTS REACH NEW HIGH
Chilean wine and spirits exports posted a strong increase last year, up 9.7% from 2005 reaching a total of $977 million.
According to recent figures released by the national agricultural policy and research office ODEPA, the U.K. was Chile’s largest importer, accounting for 16.7% of total wine and spirits exports. The U.S. came in second at 15.4%, while Canada stood at third with 5.8%.
