HAWAII GETS INTO THE GROOVE, PERHAPS A LITTLE LATE

According to Wine Direct Shipping Compliance, Hawaii recently made available the new permit forms for shipping wine directly to consumers. Although Hawaii passed a new limited direct shipping law that went into effect July 1, 2006, most wineries continued to ship under the previous reciprocity rules because the state did not offer clear guidance on how to get permits and report under the new rules.
