NEW CHAIRMAN FOR PENNSYLVANIA LIQUOR BOARD
Gov. Edward Rendell today appointed Patrick “PJ” Stapleton III as chairman of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. Patrick will succeed Jonathan Newman, who resigned as chairman effective January 12.
Stapleton is a practicing attorney from Indiana County who was first appointed to the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board by Gov. Tom Ridge in 1997. He was reconfirmed by a unanimous vote of the state senate in 2000, and again in 2004.
