SHANNON RIDGE WINERY APPOINTS EXEC FROM STE. MICHELLE

Shannon Ridge winery of High Valley has named wine industry executive John Girty as vice president of sales and marketing, and partner. John is responsible for brand development, strategy, sales and marketing for Shannon Ridge and will oversee the winery’s national distribution expansion.

Girty joined Shannon Ridge from Ste. Michelle Wine Estates where he served as division manager for Northern California, Nevada, Utah and Hawaii for the past nine years and was responsible for significant growth for the company’s Chateau Ste. Michelle, Columbia Crest and Domaine Ste. Michelle wine brands.

Shannon Ridge is owned by long-time grape grower and vineyard consultant Clay Shannon and his wife Margarita.
