360 GLOBAL WINE CO. FILES BANKRUPTCY

Financially troubled 360 Global Wine Company, which owns Viansa Winery outside Sonoma, has filed bankruptcy in Reno, Nevada as a Nevada corporation. Under Chapter 11, the company continues to control the business while it seeks court approval for a restructuring plan. The filing states 360 Global has $43 million in assets and owes $39 million to more than 50 creditors.

Investment banker Jake Shapiro, who started 360 Global in 2002, resigned as chief on Tuesday but will remain president of the company. John Bryan will lead the restructuring as ceo.
