RODNEY STRONG LAUNCHES NEW LABEL
Marvin Shanken Trade News reports that Rodney Strong Vineyards has added a new brand, Sonoma Vineyards, which is aimed at the “emerging wine drinker.” (Does this mean millennials?) The label includes merlot and chardonnay varietals and is topped with a screw cap closure.
The brand will be available initially in select states, including California and Texas, but will reach national distribution in 2009. It is expected to retail for $12 to $15 per 750-ml.
