AUSTRALIAN EXPORTS MOST VALUABLE IN US

For the first time in two years, the United States replaced the UK as the most profitable market for Australian imports in the 12 months ending March 2007. According to the Australian Wine and Brandy Corp, Australian exports to the US were valued at $963 million while the UK was worth $944 million. Canada came in third followed by New Zealand and Germany.

In terms of volume, Australia exported 270 million liters to the UK, ahead of the 231 million liters sent to the US.
