CASTLE BRANDS CASE SALES JUMP 48%

U.S.-based Castle Brands’ case sales leapt 48% to 72,000 yoy for the fourth quarter of its fiscal year ending March 31, 2007. According to the company, volume was driven by strong sales in the U.S. with Boru Vodka taking the lead.

Castle Brands expects case sales for the fiscal year to reach about 314,000, marking an increase of about 26% in the U.S. and 7% internationally. The company’s flagship brand growth was partially offset by reduced sales of certain lower-priced Irish cream products (such as Brady’s Irish Cream).

“We are pleased with the volume growth that we were able to deliver. Our products continue to gain acceptance and I am particularly pleased with the recent launch of Boru in new packaging,” said Mark Andrews, ceo of Castle Brands.

The company’s portfolio includes Boru Vodka, Gosling’s Rums and Sea Wynde Rum.
