US IMPORTS $963M OF AUSTRALIAN WINES

The United States was the most valuable export market for Australian wines in the 12 months ending April. Overall, Australian wine volume rose 12% to 797 million liters while value grew 6% to $2.94 billion, according to the Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation.

During the 12 month period the US imported $963 million of Australian wine, compared to the UK at $958 million. At the same time, UK imported the highest amount of volume at 35%, or 275 million liters, leaving the US at 29%, or 230 million liters.
