GALLO BUYS CHILES VALLEY VINEYARDS

E&J Gallo reports that it has purchased 182 acres of Chiles Valley vineyards from the California Wine Company. The Chiles Valley vineyards are planted primarily in Cabernet Sauvignon and other red Bordeaux varieties and are located high up in the mountains at an elevation between 900 – 1,400 feet.

This latest vineyard acquisition will help Gallo to meet the continued growth of its Louis M. Martini and Ghost Pines brands, said the company. Terms were not disclosed.
