NFL PROHIBITS ALCOHOL

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has ruled that clubs “are prohibited from providing alcoholic beverages, including beer, in any club setting, including in locker rooms, practice or office facilities, or while traveling, including on team buses or flights.”

The decision applies to players and all team personnel, as well as other guests traveling with the team, according to the AP.

Goodell said the practice of serving alcohol has “no constructive purpose” and “imposes significant and unnecessary risks to the league, its players and others.” His letter comes after a year of numerous arrests in the NFL, many of them for alcohol related offenses.
