DIAGEO’S TEX MCCARTHY BIDS ADIEU

Diageo today confirmed rumors that Tex McCarthy was leaving the company to pursue other opportunities, effective July 20. Tex will be succeeded by Maggie Lapcewich as president of on- and off-premise national accounts for all of Diageo’s beer, wine and spirits. Maggie most recently served as general manager of Diageo’s spirits business in Illinois and Indiana.

Joe Wiza has also been appointed as vp of on-premise, national accounts reporting directly to Maggie. Joe most recently served as vp of trade marketing and development for Diageo USA.
