OK WINERIES LOSE DIRECT-TO-RETAIL RIGHTS

Last month a federal judge in Oklahoma made a decision that bars wineries from shipping directly to restaurants and retailers – something wineries were previously allowed to do. The ruling comes after Gov. Brad Henry signed into law HB 1753 which also makes it illegal for wineries to ship to consumers. It appears that appeals are imminent, so we’ll keep you posted.
