SOUTHERN ACQUIRES PARAMOUNT DISTILLER, ENTERS OHIO

Southern Wine & Spirits (SWS) is set to expand into Ohio, a control state, after announcing plans to acquire the Paramount Distillers Brokerage operations of Paramount Distillers, Inc. The transaction is set to close on July 31 although no financial details were disclosed.

The company is now present in 15 of the 18 control states, more than any other wine and spirits distributor.
