COSTCO SAME-STORE SALES UP 7%

Costco reported that July same-store sales rose 7%, helped by a 10% jump in international sales and a 6% increase in U.S. stores. Total sales for the four weeks ending Aug. 5 grew 11% to $5.02 billion from $4.53 billion last year. Meanwhile, sales grew 9% for the fiscal year.
