MOVEMENT ON THE WHOLESALER FRONT

There has been some recent movement in the second tier among two of the largest wine and spirits wholesalers, RNDC and Glazer’s.

South Carolina-based Capital Beverage will join the ever-growing network of RNDC, the two companies announced. The new merger will be jointly owned and become a member of RNDC. Peter Fawcett, the former president of Capital, will serve as chief executive, while the current president of RNDC-SC, Charlie Bradford, will retain his position.

Meanwhile, Glazer’s says that Randy Porter is appointed senior vp, national on-premise accounts after most recently serving as the vp of spirits in Texas. Don Pratt is promoted senior vp, off-premise national accounts after holding “virtually every sales and marketing management role in the company.” Lastly, Ted Thomas has agreed to serve as senior vp of marketing in the Texas office. All appointments are effective immediately.
