NAPA WINE GROWERS PREDICT EXCEPTIONAL HARVEST

According to a panel of growers gathered by the Napa Valley Grapegrowers, this year’s Napa wine harvest is looking good. The panelists predicted the size of the 2007 yield will be about average, after the abnormally dry season began early but was slowed by a mild summer. Some sparkling wine grapes are expected to be picked as early as next week. Meanwhile, most whites will start to come in during the end of August and most red varieties are expected to be picked in October at the earliest.
