US FIRM ACQUIRES PRODUCTION RIGHTS TO ZORK

Illinois-based Portola Packaging has acquired the licensing rights to handle US production and marketing for Zork wine closures, a peel-off stopper that originated in Australia. A small-scale production of the closure will take place at its new Arizona manufacturing plant.

The largest use of Zork closures is Don Sebastiani & Sons. Don Deerfield Ranch Winery recently bottled its Sauvignon Blanc under Zork, and Napa's Domaine Carneros is currently testing the closure.
