ABSINTHE-VODKA BLEND HITS U.S. SHELVES

Beginning Oct. 1, a blend of absinthe and French vodka will hit US shelves – and no, it’s not Grey Goose. Industry veteran David Moskowitz, and Chicago importer A Hardy USA have together created Green Moon Vodka `a Absinthe Essence. Green Moon Vodka comes from the cognac region of France and is a mix of southern wormwood herbs, star anise from China, green anise, fruit barks, fennel and lemons and a premium French Vodka.

The alcohol content is 45 % and will retail for $25 for a 750 ml size bottle. The initial rollout will take place in Las Vegas, Boston, Chicago, South Florida, Arizona, and the Washington, Maryland, Virginia region. A planned national rollout will coincide with Spring Break, 2008.
