ST. SUPERY FOUNDER LAUNCHES NEW IMPORT CO
Veteran French wine producer Robert Skalli has launched Skalli Family Wines Americas (SFW Americas) to import a range of wines from the South of France, including the first to bear his name. The current ceo of St. Supery Vineyards and Winery in Napa, Michaela Rodeno, will head the new import company.
[Ed. note: As you may recall, the Skalli family founded St. Supery winery in the 1980s.]
SFW will introduce the super-premium Robert Skalli varietal wines (retail $19.50) from the South of France and Clos Poggiale (retail $24-$28) from Corsica. In addition, the company will expand distribution for its Maison Bouachon Chateauneuf du Pape (retail $39) and other Rhône wines.
