WINE OKAY FOR PREGNANT WOMEN?

A British health watchdog says drinking a small glass of wine a day is safe for pregnant women. The National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) says pregnant women can safely consume up to 1.5 units of alcohol a day after the first three months of pregnancy and that there is “no consistent evidence” that suggests otherwise. The NICE report contradicts the British and US governments’ official advice that pregnant women avoid alcohol entirely.
