COSTCO SAME-STORES SALES ROSE 9%

in October, helped by higher gasoline prices. U.S. same-store sales rose 7%, but grew only 5% excluding the inflated cost of gas. Net sales for the four weeks ended Nov. 4 rose 13% to $5.21 billion.
