AUSTRALIAN EXPORT VALUE REACHES NEW HIGH
Australian wine exports grew 8% in dollar value to $227 million in October, its highest increase in three years according to the Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation. As a result, wine export volume growth slowed to its lowest level in nine years to 44 million liters. The largest export markets were the UK (289 million liters valued at $980 million), the U.S. (211 million liters to $938 million) and Canada (50 million liters to $289 million).
