Alert: Remy Enters Exclusive Negotiations with EPI

Dear Client:

Remy Cointreau says it has entered into exclusive negotiations with EPI "with a view to possibly selling its Champagne division including, notably, the Piper-Heidsieck and Charles Heidsieck brands."

EPI is a family owned group run by Christopher Descours. It owns a number of French luxury trademarks, including J.M. Weston, Bonpoint, Alain Figaret, Francois Pinet, Michel Perry and Chateau La Verrerie.

"In the event of a favourable outcome to the negotiations, the conclusion of a sale agreement would only occur after consultation with the concerned employees representative bodies and authorisation from the Board of Directors of Rémy Cointreau SA," said the company.

Completion of the sale will remain subject to the authorisation by relevant competition authorities.

Until later, Megan
